Optimized for USB and other hot-swap applications, the AP21410/AP21510 single-channel current limited power switches introduced by Diodes Incorporated are targeted at manufacturers of laptop computers, tablets and Chromebooks™, especially those deploying the new Type-C USB port. This family of power switches incorporates 0.4A current limiting, while operating from a 2.7V to 5.5V supply with a maximum continuous load current rating of 0.2A.

Other protection features, such as 0.4ms controlled rise and fall times, support hot-swap connections between computing, communication and consumer electronics equipment, and peripherals.
