TRUMPower announces the medically approved 500W TMPC-500H, passing testing for compatibility with the Haswell™ processor platform. Compared to the prior generation Ivy Bridge™ platform, the Haswell™ platform substantially cuts the minimum sleep power consumption by one order of magnitude from 6W to 0.6W. Incompatible power supplies may require a hard reset when there is a substantial load on the non-primary rails (+3.3V and +5V) causing the +12V to go out of specification during the C6 and C7 sleep states.
If the +12V is out of specification when the system comes out of its sleep state, the power supply unit’s protection may prevent it from functioning normally. However, the TMPC-500H fully supports these C6 and C7 power saving sleep states which reduce the CPU power consumption to 0.05A without triggering the under-voltage protection and without forcing the system to reset.

Meeting ATX12V standards, the TMPC-500H comes with dc voltage outputs and maximum loads of +3.3V/24A, +5V/20A, triple +12V/16A, -12V/0.5A, +5Vsb/3A, -5V/0.2A respectively. The maximum total output is 500W, with the combined output of +3.3V and +5V limited to 130W, and the combined triple +12V offering a maximum current of 38A. The power supply includes a standard output cable set that can meet the requirements of most applications. Any other special requirements of the cable set can be fulfilled as well.
The TMPC-500H has a built-in, thermally controlled ball-bearing fan with noise-killer. Other key features include short-circuit protection, overvoltage protection, overcurrent protection, over-temperature protection, low ripple and noise, 0 to 50 degrees C operating temperature, and 5,000 meters maximum operating altitude.
