CUI Inc. today announced the addition of 50W and 65W models to its recently introduced Level VI desktop ac-dc power supply family. The SDI50-U and SDI65-U series meet the more stringent average efficiency and no load power requirements mandated by the US Department of Energy (DoE) set to go into effect in February 2016. The new Level VI standards aim to significantly lower the amount of power consumed when the end application is not in use or is no longer connected to the system.

The power supplies feature a wide universal input voltage range of 90- to 264-Vac and are available in single output voltages of 9, 12, 15, 18, 19, 24, and 48 Vdc depending on the series. Offering UL/cUL, GS and PSE safety approvals and meeting the radiated and conducted emission requirements for FCC Part 15B Class B, the SDI50-U and SDI65-U are designed for global applications.
