TRUMPower launches a new addition to its ac-dc switching power supply line-up with the TWM280 series, which serve medical and ITE applications. The 3″ x 5″ x 1.18″ open-frame unit is capable of delivering 280W of continuous output power at 18 CFM forced air or 210W with convection cooling. It has an active efficiency of >91% typically and features a power factor of 0.9 to 0.95. The power supply can withstand voltage of 5656 Vdc from input-to-output, 2121 Vdc from input-to-ground, and 2121 Vdc from output-to-ground. The series includes 5 standard models of single 12V, 24V, 28V, 48V, and 54V power supplies, with an earth leakage current typically measuring 100µA maximum at 264 Vac.
Operating from a 90- to 264-Vac universal input, the TWM280 series comes with remote inhibit, +5V standby power and +12V fan output. Output connector options include screw terminal block, mini fit, and JST connectors. The units operate at 0 to +70 degrees C ambient with derating required from 100% at +51 degrees C linearly to 50% at +70 degrees C. Its 300,000 hours-minimum MTBF at full load at 25 degrees C ambient per Telcordia (Bellcore).
