Magna-Power Electronics, Inc.introduced 15 new models to its XR Series programmable dc power supply line, which now provides isolated outputs up to 2,000Vdc and up to 10kW in an industry-leading 2U rack-mount package. The new isolated models at 1250Vdc, 1500Vdc, and 2000Vdc satisfy the testing requirements for a variety of applications, including: gallium nitride (GaN) and silicon carbide (SiC) devices, high-voltage dc-dc converters, the oil and gas industry and the rail industry.
Recommended: GaN and SiC may be made Obsolete by Gallium Oxide
The new XR Series models feature ripple less than 0.025% of full scale, ± 0.01% of full scale load regulation, and full-scale voltage-current programming accuracy of ± 0.075%. XR Series models come standard with monitoring and control from a variety of sources, including: front panel, computer interface and an isolated DB37 analog-digital I/O connector. A Standard Commands for Programmable Instrumentation (SCPI) command set is supported, allowing easy ASCII text programming over a computer interface. In addition, an IVI driver is included for the Visual Studio programming environment along with a dedicated National Instruments LabVIEW™ and LabWindows™ driver. Additional computer interface options include LXI TCP/IP Ethernet (+LXI), IEEE-488 GPIB (+GPIB), USB and RS-485.
